Climate neutrality

Our sustainability strategy naturally includes the topic of climate protection. We are constantly working to reduce CO 2 emissions and offset unavoidable emissions through a climate protection project. In addition to the CO 2 emissions for the production and transportation of our Colombian hammocks and hammock chairs, we also offset the energy consumption of our website and the emissions produced by our headquarters in Germany.

How and where can I hang my hammock?

There are many ways to hang your hammock: between two trees, two walls or two poles. Alternatively, you can use almost any combination of them and hang your hammock between a tree and a post, for example. It is also possible to fix it from above and use the ceiling as an anchor point for suspension. The most important aspect is the bearing capacity of whatever suspension point you choose.

If none of these options are available to you, a hammock stand is a great option. A sturdy hammock frame can be placed anywhere you want (as long as it fits) and can be repositioned at will whenever necessary.

How much space do I need to hang my hammock?

When setting up your hammock, you should be very careful about the correct relationship between the distance and the height of the suspension points: The suspension height (y) should be about half of the suspension distance (x). If you increase the distance between the suspension points, you should also increase their height.

If you follow these tips, your hammock will be shaped like a banana (or a smile!).

Additionally, make sure your hammock swings freely and does not touch the ground. This will protect it from abrasion and keep it beautiful for a long time.

What is the most comfortable way to lay in the hammock?

To fully enjoy the unique comfort of your hammock, you should position yourself diagonally. In this way the lying surface can be completely opened and adapted to your body. Unlike lying lengthwise, your back is optimally supported and pressure is relieved from your spine.

Can I wash my hammock?

You can easily wash your hammock in the washing machine at 30 degrees using the gentle cycle. Remember to tie the suspension strings beforehand so they don't get tangled. After washing, you should air dry the hammock (tumble drying is not recommended).
